IFC is a division of IDEALS, Inc, founded on the work of Bernard and Louise Guerney who sought to “give psychology away” by teaching interpersonal skills. Its mission is to “teach people methods of communicating with others, of dealing with emotions, and of solving problems.” Because we want to make skills available to everyone, we are creative in finding ways to make our training and therapy affordable to everyone, including sliding fee scales, groups, shared training, and use of contracts, scholarships, and grants.
