Mary Ortwein, MS, LMFT is co-author with Bernard Guerney, Jr. of the Mastering the Mysteries of Love Family of relationship education programs: Mastering the Mystery of Love RE, Love’s Cradle RE, Ready for Love RE, RE for Refugees and Immigrants, Mastering the Mysteries of Stepfamilies (with Nancy Landrum), and Mastering the Mysteries of Sacramental Love (a program for Catholic couples). She is also the author of Mastering the Magic of Play: A Training Manual for Parents in Filial Therapy. Now semi-retired, Mary lives in Frankfort, Kentucky. A former elementary and college teacher, as well as a licensed marriage and family therapist, Mary continues to write curriculum and teach. Some of her current projects include development of strategies and resources for Tele-health therapy sessions, development of church programs for the Carebound, and elder-children conversations about end-of-life matters.
