Therapist Training
IDEALS of Kentucky offers four one day workshops in RE Therapy, two-day trainings in Child-Centered Play, Filial Therapy, and Working with Parents, a one-day training in working with stepfamilies, and at least one 3 hr Ethics presentation each year.
Our trainings are small (almost always less than 12 people) and skills oriented. They are typically held in our Frankfort office Education Center or at the University of Kentucky Library.
Our training is especially useful to young professionals. We also offer supervision toward licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist, certification (in conjunction with our sister organization the National Institute of Relationship Enhancement) in Relationship Enhancement Therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy, and Filial Therapy. We have Intern and Extern programs for students and often hire MFTA’s part time to work here in exchange for supervision.
